Do not go to Sugarhut! It is EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!!!!!! We waited for 2 hours in minus temperatures to just get turned away at the front of the queue as 'apparently' they weren't letting anyone in anymore. We queued from 10.20 til 12 to be turned away! I have never been to a more pretentious club in my life. We live in Essex and brought friends from up north especially to experience the TOWIE scene to be severely let down! The bouncers told us that we would DEFINITELY get in so we went along with it but got turned down with a vast amount of people behind us. You would think for such an established club that they would have better customer service and have established a more successful system! Do not be fooled by the program. It's a waste of time! I have been all around the UK and have never experienced such a bad club! No wonder girls have been rushed to hospital with hyperthermia when you have to wait in sub zero temperatures for hours and not be advised to go home as we wouldn't be able to get in. Never go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just to add its completely overpriced....£5.50per drink including shots. Not even in London!

Don't waste your time or money. Went to the Sugar Hut a few years back and was ok for a night out in Brentwood, now its total rubbish. Massive queue to get in, bouncers who don't care about queue jumpers only about letting in the VIP's!! I'm not sure who would pay the £750 for a table in there. The place was very very overcrowded and paying £5 for sh!t wine in a plastic cup is a disgrace. I would not go again if you paid me.
ive just got back from suger hut what aload of shit.there was to many people in there you could not move we could not even get to any of the bars to get a drink .u had arsholes sniffing cokecain in front of your face.i payed 20 pounds to get in to the suger hut in brentwood what a waste of money.i feel like ive just been to the loo wiped my ass with that 20 pounds and flushed it.it should not be called suger hut it should be called shit hut.
i was really keen to get me and my girl friends up to this club as we are huge towie fans but by reading the comments i dont want to travel an hour, pay for a hotel all to be told i may not get in!!! i'll stick to my local thanks
So disgraceful,toilet attendant demanding money for tissue saying they don`t get payed also asking if i like to buy SNIFF for £20.Sincerely,Sugar hut is a nice place but i have not experience that before at sugar hurt some other guys present was very upset last night.If SNIFF are not allowed inside, why should they be offering in the toilet?
absolutely ridiculous.. sugar hut gives off this image that it is posh due to the area its in.. and it really doesnt live up to them expectations.. im from the basildon area.. and go out in basildon quite a lot.. went out in brentwood to the sugar hut for the first time last friday.. and ended up getting my phone and money stolen from my handbag.. basildon gets a bad reputation.. but never have i had a bad experience there.. i go out one time in brentwood and nearly get everything stolen.. the staff were friendly and said they would look out for my bag.. and said they would give my friend a ring if they heard anything after they had looked at cctv... my bad was eventually found.. however without my phone and money.. however the staff gave false promises as they never contacted me back regarding the cctv.. and i just see it as poor hospitality.. would never like to go back there again.. its not the 'posh' place everyone makes it out to be.. in fact it now gives off a dodgy aura.. and gangstery feel.. and would happily never go back.. would rather just go to basildon.

A few points...I'm disgusted by the 'butch blonde bitch bouncer' on the door, she's a large lady who has a super ego. She screams and shouts orders like hitler. Calm down woman, we are queuing. I had to listen to her bellow that 'your name must be on the guest list' then in a condescending voice say 'your actual name'. Christ I felt like saying who's other name would I say?! So we finally get to the front of the queue and were greeted by a blonde, young, slim lady who was pleasant and polite and truely helpful. Once at the front we realised the butch blonde one had a side kick. He was a white guy with a shaved head who had big, hard-man syndrome. Obviously power had gone to butch and big mans heads because they saw themselves as enforcers. They said no Timberland boots, they gave no reasoning and wouldn't allow entry. So that member of our group went and changed shoes. What's crazy is that timberlands cost £100 in comparison to £15 shoes! On the website it also does not mention a strict dress code and no timberlands, unfortunately it's because of butch and big man needing a hit of power. What was also confusing was that butch herself was wearing high heeled boots which I think resembeled timberlands. What a joke! So that group member went off and I gave my name to the nice blonde girl, who said how many of you, I said oh us 6, she then did not ask or check there names off the list and let us all in on my name. Again, what a joke after butch had persisted on bellowing for the last 1/2 hr. Once inside it's far too busy, the layout is shit and everyone is stuck up. Overall a crap advertisement for Essex.
